Laurel and Hardy find themselves in the Foreign Legion after Ollie is rejected by a woman. The Foreign Legion is better than suicide in the Seine River, which was Ollie s first option. Unfortunately, the duo does not make good legion material and run away. Unbeknownst to them, running away means desertion and desertion means the firing squad. In a series of hilarious hi-jinks, the two make their get away in an airplane only to crash.
